The U-Verlagerung "Kauz" - Schee tunnel
U-Verlagerung means that some very important production plants moved into the underground to protect them against allied airstrikes.
Here are some pictures shown from an old Reichsbahntunnel - the Schee Tunnel near Wuppertal/Germany. The old tunnel pipe of the Imperial German railway was build in 1884. The newer tunnel pipe was build in 1902. At the end of the second world war, a production plant for the famous German jet fighter Messerschmitt Me262 moved from Wuppertal into the newer tunnel pipe from 1902.
The only parts you will see today from the production are some of the crane runway installation at the top and the brick wall housing between both tunnel pipes.
Wish you big fun by having a look at the pictures.
